Penny Maurer

I'm a freelance graphic and surface pattern designer, artist, and teacher living in New Hampshire. My work is deeply rooted in a love for nature and the outdoors—drawing inspiration from wildlife, botanical forms, infinite color and seasonal shifts—blending a sense of whimsy, connection, and curiosity of the natural world.

My favorite color is purple; an 80’s kid with an uncanny knowledge of 80’s music; love collecting vintage Christmas decor; and secretly desire a good cup of coffee, and anything with chocolate and peanut butter.

When not in my studio, you can find me baking, gardening, quilting or spending time at our family cabin in the woods. I usually have a sketchbook in hand — always chasing the next spark of inspiration in New England’s beautiful landscape.
